Implementation and training

We understand the challenges of introducing such transforming technologies into the school or local authority environment. Through the implementation phase our joint Learning and Supportdesk teams will work with you – through a robust and tested project management methodology – to define setup preferences, user groups, required customisation and content migration options.

Training is provided at no extra cost to ensure that users are equipped with a strong understanding of key concepts and functions in order to use LP+ with confidence. From the very first training session, teachers work with a trainer to actually start populating their sites and workspaces and understand how the tools may be used in the classroom to add educational value. Our training programme offers flexible scheduling and provides easy-to-follow training manuals available in hard copy or online.

Education Consultancy – LP+ provides worldwide experts to advise high-level clients on how countries around the world are addressing challenges in education and how students may be equipped with the skills to be successful as the next generation workforce.

LP+ School Improvement – LP+ works with schools to identify areas of improvement following self-review. We then integrate the School Improvement Planning tool within the school's site to support the implementation of change and to track improvement. The tool enables departments within the school to set targets and then allow senior management to track progress.

Extended training – LP+ offers over 12 different training courses including advanced platform training, using the platform to drive educational attainment, improving productivity, platform development and e-content creation.

LP+ Tutoring – A framework on which to build a home-tutoring service for students learning outside school or those learners who wish to gain support and tutoring outside school hours – allows continuity of learning and mentoring.

Content creation – Bespoke design and authoring by our dedicated team following detailed scoping with a client and story-boarding of teaching and learning activities.

Design development – Design and build of sites, user interfaces and content architecture following workshops to establish how the platform may support the educational goals and user needs of the school or organisation.

e-portfolios

LP+ provides users with a secure personal workspace and e-portfolio. Students can use their e-portfolio to store coursework, project resources, results and achievements. This private space can also be customised by the user, and provides the full range of LP+ applications and tools for document and content management, communication and collaboration. Selected secure views of the e-portfolio can also be provided to parents and carers, external examiners and mentors.

MIS integration

The LP+ system architecture supports business data connections, web services and XML to allow for integration with school, local authority and other management information systems. We work closely with Capita Education Services to provide SIMS.net integration, and can advise on integration strategies for other MIS systems and data.

School website

LP+ can also be used to deliver your school website. We can make part of your site 'public access' while retaining full security for your school 'extranet' sites. In this way you can use the LP+ content management, page design and page editing tools to manage all of your school’s online publishing and communications projects.
